Hannah Williams, a girl in my youth ministry, has spent a lot of time baby sitting our kids. On Monday, as part of a demonstrative speech for her high school speech class, she asked if Gideon and Hope could come so she could use them as visual aids. The lady who sits at Moline High's door each day called me by name when we walked in (I speak with her each week when I have lunch at the school with my teens) and said we were good to go. After prepping our kids for a couple days, we made the trek to Hannah's classroom. The kids did great, and Hannah got an A. Just another HUGE perk of being a youth pastor!

John Piper
My daughter grabbed this book and sat down to "read." For the past couple of days she's walking around the house saying, "John Piper." Love my baby girl!

Gideon's First Day of Swimming Lessons
He took lessons last year, too, but today is the first day of this season's lessons at Black Hawk College. He really likes his teacher.
