From Russia, With Love
As Hope continues to emphatically quip that she is from "Mother Russia" and not Moline, I received a Facebook email from a former youth leader who worked with my brother Aaron and I when we were in the youth groups at Third Presbyterian Church in Dubuque. Janet had emailed saying that she had a gift for Hope that she wanted to send. The gift was something she had purchased in her time visiting Russia and thought it would be perfect for Hope. So when we returned from Spring Break, the gift was sitting at our door, waiting to be opened! She loves it and plays with it all the time? What a cool gift!
Supper with POCS and the First Lady
We had the president of Covenant Seminary and his wife Beth over for supper again tonight. We always have a blast with them and enjoy getting to know them as people. It's very laid back and easy to talk with them and we enjoy having them in our home. I also like how they engage with our kids and get to know them, as well.
