She's going to be moving in no time

Today was the first time I've seen her rocking back and forth.  Won't be long and I'll hear the two older one's complaining about Esther getting in to their stuff.  I'm ready for her to be mobile!

Believe it or not...

Two of the three of these guys have ralphed in the last two days.  Wanna guess which two?  Although I suppose that Esther ralphs a lot after eating, so we are up to all three of them.  Gideon woke up at 1am Sunday morning and had puked all over his bed, down the ladder, onto Hope's comforter, and on the floor.  We think his is from eating a ton of salsa (and then a friend sent me a link of a recall of salsa that was purchased at HyVee, Walmart, and Aldi-- all places we shop).  However, we can't be sure.

And then Hope chundered this afternoon in the van on the way to our friends' house for supper.  However, we think her's is from a bladder infection she has (Kathee took her to the doctor this morning for it).

So yeah, we are hitting on all cylinders down here in the QCA.  And the thing is, they are all acting great.  This picture was taken tonight after supper (we turned around and came home after Hope yacked in the van).  This.  is.  just.  weird.

Substitute Teacher

In the beginning of this school year, the headmaster where Gideon attends school asked me to teach the Christian Theology class throughout the school year.  I told him that due to the massive upheaval in our church, I didn't think it wise for me to take it (though I really wanted to).

A couple weeks ago Doctor Shutt emailed me about subbing for the worldview and apologetics course (one class).  After speaking to Pastor Greg to gain permission, I let Casey know I'd sub.  So I've taught the first period class since last Friday through tomorrow (Thursday).  There are only six kids in the junior class, so I'm getting to know each of them pretty easily.  I am really enjoying it, and love seeing the inner workings of Gideon's school.  I'm quite impressed.

Today I proctored the unit test.  I'm having a blast.

Esther's Ears

Not sure who s in more pain, the mother or the daughter.
She, Esther not Kathee, wailed for about a minute and them calmed down.
By the time we got home she was falling asleep.  I think the smile proves she's doing okay!

Esther

At least one of us enjoys the other's company!

Doc Seuss' birthday

Gideon has taken to reading, by himself, a couple of the good doctor's books.  For the doctor's birthday, Gideon wanted to be the Cat in the Hat.  Kathee did a fantastic job, and he looked great!
